All’interfaccia tra prosodia e struttura informativa : la realizzazione prosodica dell’informazione data in tedesco e in italiano L2Cinzia Avesani, Giuliano Bocci, Mario Vayra, Alessandra Zappoli, 2013, objavljeni znanstveni prispevek na konferenci Opis: Germanic and Romance languages differ in the way they assign prosodic prominence within the domain of the utterance in the discourse structure. Italian relies on the hierarchical phonological structure and assigns the prosodic prominence to the metrical head on the right. On the other hand, German assigns prominence combining both the phonological structure and the pragmatic information, considering the degree of activation of a specific referent. Referents that have not been previously mentioned introduce New information in the discourse. New information is marked with prominent pitch patterns. On the contrary, referents that have been already mentioned are cognitively activated in the mind of the hearer and they represent Given information. Given information has been proven to be most frequently deaccented in Germanic languages. In this study, we show that native speakers of Italian, Second Language learners of German, show to have difficulties in the acquisition of the Deaccentuation pattern, and are affected by prosodic transfer from their L1. The L1 prosodic system not being sensitive to the pragmatic cues can assign prominence on a metrical head even if the referent is Given within Discourse. On the contrary, we show that native speakers of German, learning Italian as a second language show to acquire more easily the prosodic pattern of Italian.

1444. A for Aurora, A for Ambiguity. A century and a Half of George Sand’s Reception in the Slovenian Cultural Sphere2021, objavljeni povzetek znanstvenega prispevka na konferenci Opis: The first part of the title (»A for Aurora«) is borrowed from the afterword to the Slovenian translation of Sands Story of My Life, published on the occasion of the bicentenary of the birth of George Sand by the Slovenian feminist publishing house Delta.
The discourse on Aurora Dupin / George Sand in the Slovenian cultural field of the long 19th century is ambigious. While in various press articles we mostly find only mentions and anecdotes about the writer who broke with the conventions of femininity, her work deeply influenced the literary development of Slovenian women writers, especially the most important Slovenian female novelist of the 19th century, Pavlina Pajk. Despite the fact that much has been written about George Sand in the Slovenian cultural field, the first translation did not appear until 1951. It was a translation of Little Fadette and was followed by only two other translations. Sand, who was perceived as a taboo breaker in the 19th century, was introduced to the Slovenian audience of the second half of the 20th century through translations as an author of sentimental prose with a rural love theme.
In 2004, however, a turn occurred that actually followed the line of Sand’s ambiguous reception in the 19th and 20th centuries. With the translation of Story of My Life and especially with the afterword by the editor and renowned philosopher Prof. Eva D. Bahovec, Sand was introduced to the Slovenian readership as one of the great figures of the feminist tradition. How is George Sand received today, is she still present in the Slovenian cultural space, and what lies behind the ambiguity of her reception? I will try to answer these questions in my presentation.

1447. Minority Literature in the Majority Language: a New Paradigm? The Case of theAna Toroš, 2021, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The present paper addresses the issue of bilingual literature and studies the relations between the majority language and the minority language within the literature of minority authors. By using the close reading method we examined the contemporary phenomenon of producing literature in the majority (Italian) language by the authors of the Slovenian origin living in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region in Italy. In this regard we found out that the linguistic shift from the minority (Slovenian) language to the majority (Italian) language does not inevitably lead to the breakage of the links with the collective memory of the Slovenian minority community in Italy and thus does not induce a change in the manner of the literalization of the living space of the Slovenian minority in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Marisa Madieri, Jan Morris and Irena Žerjal : English, Istrian Triestine and Slovene literarisation of Trieste and the surrounding area at the end of World War IIAna Toroš, 2021, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: This paper analyses the ways in which the town of Trieste and its surrounding area are portrayed in literary
works in the period following World War II. To this end, we have adopted a comparative approach in analysing
three novels about the town of Trieste written by Irena Žerjal, Marisa Madieri and Jan Morris, belonging to different
cultural and language traditions. Our analysis applied an interdisciplinary approach; geocriticism and literary imagology as well as the concepts of traumatic collective memory and postmemory. From a geocritical perspective,
we have interpreted the literarisation of the town of Trieste from three different perspectives: the perspective of a
Slovene author (Irena Žerjal); the Western-European perspective (Jan Morris); and the exile’s perspective (Marisa
Madieri). All three authors adopt a similar approach in their literary representations of the town of Trieste, namely
going back in time, which allows them to shift the action from the present to the past, i.e. to Trieste as they knew it
in their youth. In doing so, each author focuses on a different part of town. In those rare occurrences where action
is set in the same places, each author ascribes a different meaning to the location. While the authors acknowledge
the presence of the Other in Trieste, this has a negligible impact on the novel’s course of action.

BCK codesHashem Bordbar, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: In this paper, we initiate the study of the notion of the BC K -function on an arbitrary set A, and providing connections with x -functions and x -subsets for x ∈ X where X is a B C K -algebra. Moreover, using the notion of order in a B C K -algebra, the BCK-code C is introduced and besides a new structure of order in C is investigated. Finally, we show that the structure of the B C K -algebra X and the B C K -code C which is generated by X , with their related orders are the same.
