2444. On the Distribution of Imperfective Suffixation and the Position of Theme Vowels in SlovenianVesna Plesničar, objavljeni povzetek znanstvenega prispevka na konferenci Opis: There are different views regarding the exact position of the Theme Vowel (TH) in the verb structure within Distributive Morphology (DM). One is that THs are realisations of a TH position that is added to v0 (and other functional heads) (e.g. Oltra-Massuet 1999 and Embick and Halle 2005), another, argued for in Marvin (2002), is that THs are attached directly to the ROOT. The most recent proposal for Slovenian is the one made by Božič (2016, 2017), where he argues that TH is adjoined to Aspectual head (ASP0). On the other hand, Marvin has claimed, contra Božič (2017), that TH could only adjoin to category-defining heads, i.e. that adjunction to any other functional head, such as Tense head, Aspect or Passive is not possible in Slovenian. Our data suggest that contrary to Božič, it is -va- rather than -av- that is an imperfectivizing morpheme in Slovenian, and contrary to previous literature more widely, -va- is not just a secondary imperfective morpheme but more generally an imperfective morpheme. Our idea is supported by the clear distribution patterns shown by -va- in verbs which receive an imperfective interpretation. This suggestion makes further predictions on the position of TH vowel in Slovenian. We argue that TH precedes the imperfective suffix -va-, and thus cannot be a component of the imperfective morpheme, as assumed in Božič (2016, 2017). TH is rather a part of the ROOT (or verbalizing head to which it is attached). 2446. Molecular alignment on graphene surface determines transport properties of graphene/organic semiconductor transistorsVadym Tkachuk, Egon Pavlica, Gvido Bratina, 2020, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Graphene field-effect transistor structures were used to investigate the role of molecular alignment on charge transport properties of heterostructures comprising a single-layer graphene and variable thickness of N,N′-bis(n-octyl)-(1,7&1,6)-dicyanoperylene-3,4:9,10-bisdicarboximide (PDI8-CN2) - an n-type organic semiconductor. Our atomic force microscopy data show that under selected growth conditions PDI8-CN2 grows in a layer-by-layer fashion up to a second monolayer. The first layer comprises flat-lying molecules, whereas the molecules in the second layer orient themselves in an upright orientation. Transconductance measurements show that the flat-lying molecules have little effect on the position of the Fermi level in graphene. Upright oriented molecules in the second layer instead, have a strong effect as to neutralize native p-type doping of graphene and cause a shift of charge-neutrality level towards the Dirac point. We interpret such behavior in terms of different orientation of the surface dipole on layers with different molecular orientations. At the same time the overall mobility of the charge carriers reaches values exceeding 3000 cm2/Vs. 2448. Orographic gravity waves in OH-airglow imaging systemsSabine Wuest, Jonas Till, René Sedlak, Patrick Hannawald, Carsten Schmidt, Samo Stanič, Michael Bittner, 2020, objavljeni povzetek znanstvenega prispevka na konferenci Opis: Atmospheric dynamics is strongly influenced by waves on different scales. Airflow over mountains can lead to all kinds of atmospheric waves, planetary and gravity waves as well as infrasound. Under certain circumstances these waves can propagate through the atmosphere and lead to a re- distribution of energy. In the case of gravity waves, a stably stratified atmosphere is a mandatory requirement for their generation and vertical propagation. Additionally, the vertical propagation depends on the horizontal wind field. In the Alpine and pre-Alpine region, we currently operate five OH-airglow imaging systems, which allow the investigation of orographic gravity waves. Depending on tropo-, strato- and mesospheric wind and temperature, it is checked which wavelengths can propagate into the fields of view of our instruments. This is done for a whole year in order to take into account annual and semi- annual cycles in wind and temperature. Concerning the generation of gravity waves, we put our focus on our OH-airglow imager (FAIM) deployed at Otlica (45.9°N, 13.9°E), Slovenia. Here, we also have additional measurements of an OH-airglow spectrometer (GRIPS). In case studies, we investigate whether strong wind events (Bora) lead to strong gravity waves activity or enhanced potential energy density. 2450. MAST Education and Policy Workshop : Hybrid Interfacing Academydruga izvedena dela Opis: he key aim was to discuss the potentials of the Art-Science-Technology blend in higher education for pedagogy, research and especially radical innovation. The workshop identified assets among the participants, apply them to discerned needs and opportunities, in order to prototype both formal and non-formal implementation formats for a common European future in A-S-T education. The workshop included primarily academics as well as policy-makers, including the student's view and employers from a broad range of CCIs including the NGO sector. The workshop explored the viability of policy support and potential change to instigate a positive integration of the A-S-T innovation methodology.
