Antibiotics and their different application strategies in controlling the biofilm forming pathogenic bacteria
Fazlurrahman Khan, Dung T N Pham, Sandra Oloketuyi, Young-Mog Kim, 2020, review article

Abstract: Background: The establishment of a biofilm by most pathogenic bacteria has been known as one of the resistance mechanisms against antibiotics. A biofilm is a structural component where the bacterial community adheres to the biotic or abiotic surfaces by the help of Extracellular Polymeric Substances (EPS) produced by bacterial cells. The biofilm matrix possesses the ability to resist several adverse environmental factors, including the effect of antibiotics. Therefore, the resistance of bacterial biofilm-forming cells could be increased up to 1000 times than the planktonic cells, hence requiring a significantly high concentration of antibiotics for treatment. Methods: Up to the present, several methodologies employing antibiotics as an anti-biofilm, antivirulence or quorum quenching agent have been developed for biofilm inhibition and eradication of a pre-formed mature biofilm. Results: Among the anti-biofilm strategies being tested, the sub-minimal inhibitory concentration of several antibiotics either alone or in combination has been shown to inhibit biofilm formation and down-regulate the production of virulence factors. The combinatorial strategies include (1) combination of multiple antibiotics, (2) combination of antibiotics with non-antibiotic agents and (3) loading of antibiotics onto a carrier. Conclusion: The present review paper describes the role of several antibiotics as biofilm inhibitors and also the alternative strategies adopted for applications in eradicating and inhibiting the formation of biofilm by pathogenic bacteria.

Regulation and controlling the motility properties of Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Fazlurrahman Khan, Dung Thuy Nguyen Pham, Sandra Oloketuyi, Young-Mog Kim, 2020, review article

Abstract: Chronic infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa have been a major concern as their spread and mortality continue to be on the rise. These infections are majorly attributed to biofilm formation via sequential steps where motility plays an essential role in initial attachment of bacterial cells onto biotic and abiotic surfaces, thereby contributing to multi-drug resistance among pathogens. Therefore, attenuating motility properties can be considered as highly potential for controlling P. aeruginosa biofilm formation. This strategy has employed the use of various natural and chemically synthesized compounds. The present review article explained the importance and regulation of different types of motilities properties. Furthermore, it also covered several important alternative approaches using anti-motility agents which could be helpful for controlling P. aeruginosa biofilm-associated infections. Further studies are required for in-depth understandings about the mechanisms of motilities controlling of these molecules at molecular levels.

Hashem Bordbar, 2018, original scientific article

Abstract: The notion of the uni-soft idea is introduced, and related properties are investigated. Characterizations of the uni-soft ideal are discussed. The transfer of uni-soft ideal is considered, and relations between the uni-soft ideal and its transfer are investigated. Given a soft set, conditions for the transfer of soft set to be a uni-soft ideal.

Hashem Bordbar, Rajab Ali Borzooei, Florentin Smarandache, Young Bae Jun, 2020, original scientific article

Abstract: More general form of (∈, ∈∨q)-neutrosophic ideal is introduced, and their prop- erties are investigated. Relations between (∈, ∈)-neutrosophic ideal and (∈, ∈ ∨q(kT ,kI ,kF ) )-neutrosophic ideal are discussed. Characterizations of (∈, ∈ ∨q(kT ,kI ,kF ) )-neutrosophic ideal are discussed, and conditions for a neutrosophic set to be an (∈, ∈∨q(kT ,kI,kF ))-neutrosophic ideal are displayed.

Fuzzy soft set theory with applications in hyper BCK-algebras
Hashem Bordbar, Mohammad Rahim Bordbar, Seok-zun Song, Young Bae Jun, 2020, original scientific article

Abstract: In the paper [P.K. Maji, R. Biswas, A.R. Roy, Fuzzy soft sets, J. Fuzzy Math. 9 (3) (2001) 589–602], Maji et al. introduced the concept of fuzzy soft sets as a generalization of the standard soft sets and presented an application of fuzzy soft sets in a decision-making problem. The aim of this paper is to apply a fuzzy soft set for dealing with several kinds of theories in hyper BCK-algebras. The notions of fuzzy soft hyper BCK-ideal, fuzzy soft weak hyper BCK-ideal, fuzzy soft s-weak hyper BCK-ideal, and fuzzy soft strong hyper BCK-ideal are introduced, and related properties and relations are investigated.
Keywords: fuzzy soft hyper BCK-ideal, fuzzy soft weak hyper BCK-ideal, fuzzy soft s-weak hyper BCK-ideal, fuzzy soft strong hyper BCK-ideal

BMBJ-neutrosophic subalgebra in BCI/BCK-algebras
Hashem Bordbar, 2020, original scientific article

Abstract: For the first time, Smarandache introduced neutrosophic sets which can be used as a mathematical tool for dealing with indeterminate and inconsistent information. the notion of BMBJ-neutrosophic set and subalgebra, as a generalization of a neutrosophic set, is introduced, and it’s an application to BCI/BCK-algebras is investigated. The concept of BMBJ-neutrosophic subalgebras in BCI/BCK-algebras is introduced, and related properties are investigated. New BMBJ-neutrosophic subalgebra is established by using a BMBJ-neutrosophic subalgebra of a BCI/BCK-algebra. Also, a homomorphic (inverse) image of BMBJ-neutrosophic subalgebra and translation of BMBJ-neutrosophic subalgebra is investigated. In the end, we provided conditions for a BMBJ-neutrosophic set to be a BMBJ-neutrosophic subalgebra.
Keywords: BMBJ-neutrosophic set, BMBJ-neutrosophic subalgebra, BMBJ-neutrosophic S-extension.

WEAK CLOSURE OPERATIONS WITH SPECIAL TYPES IN LOWER BCK-SEMILATTICES
Hashem Bordbar, Young Bae Jun, 2017, original scientific article

Abstract: The notions of (strong) quasi prime mapping on the set of all ideals, t- type weak closure operation, and tender (resp., naive, sheer, feeble tender) weak closure operation are introduced, and their relations and properties are investigated. Conditions for a weak closure operation to be of t-type are provided. Given a weak closure operation, conditions for the new weak closure operation to be of t-type and to be a naive (sheer, feeble tender) weak closure operation are considered. We show that the new weak closure operation is the smallest tender weak closure operation containing the given weak closure operation.

Hashem Bordbar, Mohammad Mehdi Zahedi, 2017, original scientific article

Abstract: The notion of semi-prime (resp., meet) weak closure operation is introduced and related properties are investigated. Characterizations of a semi-prime (resp. meet) closure operation are discussed. Examples show that the notion of semi-prime weak closure operation is independent of the notion of meeting weak closure operation.
