Besedilo dela se razvija vzdolž treh področij vedenja: Prvi del pokriva splošno raziskavo (3//sessions) o izbranih elementih in strukturah sodobnega mesta. Drugi del je študij specifične prakse in poskusov identifikacije prebivalcev mesta (4//obsessions). Praktično delo (//preveč večernih zabav) sestavlja vrsta intervencij, pri čemer so pozicije (prostorsko, čustveno, politično, družbeno) #označene z betonskimi kockami velikosti 12x12x12cm. Intervencije zastavljajo vprašanja o aktualni oziroma dominantni pripovedi.

Title:Sessions and Obsessions in the Contemporary City
Abstract:This master thesis focuses on #identity in urban areas by combining theoretical endeavours and field research through interventions in public space in four cities in Europe (#Graz, #Ljubljana, #Triest, #Rijeka). The investigation inquiries around manifestations and the origin of identity in public spaces, in which forms it can appear and which kind of practices are commonly used for display. The text develops along three fields of knowledge: The first part covers a general research (3//sessions) on selected elements and structures of the contemporary city. The second part studies specific practices and attempts of identification of dwellers and their city (4//obsessions). The practical work (//too many dinner parties) consists of a series of interventions, where positions (spatial, emotional, political, social) are #marked with concrete cubes with a size of 12x12x12cm. These interventions are questioning current or dominant narratives. The cubes can be placed as a provocation, as a pixelation of #urban space, a creation of #common ground, it can serve as a #monument, etc. The third part (1//again!) is the documentation of the practical part of the master thesis project. The interventions in public space aim to highlight struggles within the urban environment and difficulties in the identification process. This last part also centres on the author's personal approach to the project, regarding above all, her artistic practice in public space.
