V zadetkih iskanja so nekatere vrednosti izpisane v obliki povezav. Povezava na naslovu gradiva izpiše več o gradivu, ostale povezave sprožijo novo iskanje.

Graditelji mostov
Peter Purg, 2025, umetniško delo

Opis: The foosball figurines become architect performers, evolving their usual competitive poses into collaborative choreographies aided by different tools and props. Instead of scoring against each other, players must construct a bridge across the entire field. Both teams score when a bridge is successfully built across the entire field. Or they both loose.

Razstava Peaces - raziskovanje miru kot čezmejne množine : 6. 3. 2025, Chemnitz, Germany
2024, umetniška poustvaritev

Opis: The exhibition reimagines peace as both a plural concept and multifaceted experience, exploring mainly its artistic, but also scientific, and societal dimensions. Opening on March 6, 2025 at Weltecho Chemnitz, this unique event hosted by the City of Chemnitz and supported by GO!2025 European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica - Gorizia as well as the ACROSS European university alliance, commemorates the Day of Peace and Remembrance through a collaborative, interdisciplinary showcase. Featuring contributions from ACROSS university students and young artists from Nova Gorica, Udine, Banja Luka, Chemnitz and beyond, the exhibition includes contemporary art installations, videos, photographs, live performances and a cinema program of short films and animations, challenging perceptions of hospitality, migration, and resilience, while speculating on peace as both a trans-human and trans-border priority. Besides a guided tour through the artworks, the opening event will feature two performances, a cinema screening and an international panel discussion, offering diverse perspectives on peacebuilding in a fragmented world. By colliding creative expression with cultural exchange, Peaces invites audiences to reflect on the complexity of peace as both a universal aspiration and a deeply personal imperative. Curated by: dr. pETER Purg, University of Nova Gorica (ACROSS), GO!2025 Design and setup by: Gašper Rebernik, Taša Mir, Matej Pirkovič (University of Nova Gorica School of Arts) Produced by the City of Chemnitz, with support of University of Nova Gorica School of Arts (Erasmus+), Chemnitz Technical University, GO!2025 European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica - Gorizia. LensWatch. II. improved photometry and time-delay constraints on the strongly lensed type Ia supernova 2022qmx ("SN Zwicky") with Hubble Space Telescope template observations
C. Larison, Justin Pierel, M. J. B. Newman, S. W. Jha, D. Gilman, E. E. Hayes, A. Agrawal, N. Arendse, Mateusz Bronikowski, Tanja Petrushevska, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: Abstract Strongly lensed supernovae (SNe) are a rare class of transient that can offer tight cosmological constraints that are complementary to methods from other astronomical events. We present a follow-up study of one recently discovered strongly lensed SN, the quadruply imaged type Ia SN 2022qmx (aka “SN Zwicky”), at z = 0.3544. We measure updated, template-subtracted photometry for SN Zwicky and derive improved time delays and magnifications. This is possible because SNe are transient, fading away after reaching their peak brightness. Specifically, we measure point-spread-function photometry for all four images of SN Zwicky in three Hubble Space Telescope WFC3/UVIS passbands (F475W, F625W, and F814W) and one WFC3/IR passband (F160W), with template images taken ∼11 months after the epoch in which the SN images appear. We find consistency to within 2σ between lens-model-predicted time delays (≲1 day) and measured time delays with HST colors (≲2 days), including the uncertainty from chromatic microlensing that may arise from stars in the lensing galaxy. The standardizable nature of SNe Ia allows us to estimate absolute magnifications for the four images, with images A and C being elevated in magnification compared to lens model predictions by about 6σ and 3σ, respectively, confirming previous work. We show that millilensing or differential dust extinction is unable to explain these discrepancies, and we find evidence for the existence of microlensing in images A, C, and potentially D that may contribute to the anomalous magnification.

Did the avant-garde become materialized in new media? : techno-performance and socialization
Narvika Bovcon, Aleš Vaupotič, 2025, objavljeni znanstveni prispevek na konferenci

Opis: This contribution builds on Lev Manovich's thesis that avant-garde procedures were incorporated into the very operation of software, as the computer as a meta-medium completely transcodes the reality. The text examines the foundations of computer science in mathematical formalism and considers Turing's computing machine as a starting point for the generative aspect of computer art. The generative art-making was practiced also in the neo-avant-gardes. Data processing introduces into today's world a decoupling between understanding and agency that was once thought to require active thinking. Juri Lotman's idea of periphery-centre dynamic explains the shift of mechanical and (once) avant-garde procedures to the center of the globalized culture. At the same time, the image of a human is radically changing as she finds herself in a new homogeneous environment made of information: she becomes an inforg (Luciano Floridi) together with artificial and hybrid agents. Identity as informational integrity is discussed with the examples of performances and happenings of Srečo Dragan from the conceptualist period, when he collaborated with Nuša Dragan and the extended OHO group. The discussion touches upon the latest new media works by Srečo Dragan, where a multitude of interfaces mediates between the self-awareness (memory, declaration statements) and the body of the participant, and builds an archive of connections for a society established through technology. Dragan’s idea of socialization with art foregrounds a performative educational practice that interferes with the user's identity.
