V zadetkih iskanja so nekatere vrednosti izpisane v obliki povezav. Povezava na naslovu gradiva izpiše več o gradivu, ostale povezave sprožijo novo iskanje.

Raziskovalni podatki korpusa slovenskih kriminalk Sergeja Verča, Toneta Freliha, Avgusta Demšarja, Tadeja Goloba, Mojce Širok in Irene Svetek s perspektivi spola, etničnosti in razreda
Primož Mlačnik, 2024, zaključena znanstvena zbirka raziskovalnih podatkov

Opis: Dani raziskovalni podatki so del večletne sistematične raziskave, v kateri je avtor analiziral serijske in sodobne slovenske kriminalke s perspektiv kulturnih študij. Raziskovalni podatki obsegajo petintrideset dekonstrukcijskih tabel v slovenskem in angleškem jeziku. Raziskava ni bila financirana

Semiotics of visualisation in comparative literature : the case of the NEWW women writers database
Aleš Vaupotič, Narvika Bovcon, 2024, prispevek na konferenci brez natisa

Opis: The paper discusses the methodology behind the visualisation of information. It points out the visual language strategies for encoding meaning and the importance of spatial arrangement of information. An overview of visualisation models is conceived on multiple levels, categorising the various forms of diagrams according to several approaches. Experimental data visualisations, among them also dynamic, interactive and three-dimensional visualisations, were realised in the project on the NEWW database with the goal to explore possible uses of different diagrams and graphs to make the structures and patterns in more apparent. These prototypes facilitate a hands-on evaluation of individual visualisation solutions with regard to this particular database. Focused research questions are recognised as a productive starting point for comprehensible although partial visualisations of the database. Our approach relies upon Lev Manovich’s definition of a new media object as a multiplicity of interfaces to access a multimedia database. A selection of visualisations that were created within the project is presented to point to particular communication situations, and possible problems that we encountered. A humanities database containing literary-historical information requires a specific approach that adapts and sometimes replaces the statistical data descriptions as used in hard sciences and social sciences. Also, using the Peircean semiotics as the methodological framework we point to the need to specify the scope of the visualisation project and its communicative effect. In the second part of the paper, we interpret the semiotic functioning of data sculptures that were realised using the contents of the NEWW database.

Back to the future with emerging iron technologies
Andreea Oarga-Mulec, Uroš Luin, Matjaž Valant, 2024, pregledni znanstveni članek

Opis: Here is a comprehensive overview of iron's potential in low-carbon energy technologies, exploring applications like metal fuel combustion, iron-based batteries, and energy-carrier cycles, as well as sustainable approaches for production and recycling with a focus on reducing environmental impact. Iron, with its abundance, safety, and electrochemical characteristics, is a promising material to contribute to a decarbonized future. This paper discusses the advancements and challenges in iron-based energy storage technologies and sustainable iron production methods. Various innovative approaches are explored as energy storage solutions based on iron, like advancements in thermochemical Fe–Cl cycles highlight the potential of iron chloride electrochemical cycles for long-term high-capacity energy storage technology. Additionally, the utilization of iron as a circular fuel in industrial processes demonstrates its potential in large-scale thermal energy generation. Sustainable iron production methods, such as electrolysis of iron chloride or oxide and deep eutectic solvent extraction, are investigated to reduce the carbon footprint in the iron and steel industry. These findings also show the importance of policy and technology improvements that are vital for the widespread use and recycling of iron-based tech, stressing the need for collaboration toward a sustainable future.

To know a tree : symbiotic mutualism and artistic exploration against anthropocentric science
Peter Purg, Kristina Pranjić, 2024, objavljeni znanstveni prispevek na konferenci

Opis: In order to develop new symbiotic relationships and different imaginaries, it is first necessary to critically restructure the representations of forms of cooperation, which in their positive, desired version usually represent a certain romantic idea of nature and human, and the possibilities for a harmonious model and holistic structure of reality. This can be seen in both eco art and activist ecological agendas, which often play on feelings of harmony and mutual reciprocity, and actually further contribute to a distorted and extremely one-dimensional image of reality. Using the concepts of conviviality and cosmpolitics, the article aims to offer new concepts of symbiosis and symbiotic futures that face today's process of defuturing. The second point of the article is to develop a convincing and solid alternative to the neoliberal view of market-driven models based on competencies and the logic of growth. Therefore, the actual task for disruptive avant-garde art of today should be understood as the decolonization of our imaginaries that perceive nature through the logic of growth and the harmonious model in the direction of shaping post-growth imaginaries for symbiotic futures.

The rupture and the connection : nonrepresentation and participation in art for socio-ecological change
Kristina Pranjić, Peter Purg, 2024, objavljeni znanstveni prispevek na konferenci

Opis: Exploring the relationship between the rupture caused by non-representation on the one hand and the connection fostered through active participation on the other, this contribution in environmental humanities seeks to consolidate an ecocritical perspective that includes posthumanism, new materialism, and ecological theory, particularly within the field of art and art history. The first part lays its theoretical groundwork by focusing on the concept of non-representation as developed in formalist discourse and avant-garde artistic experiments. By examining the radical defamiliarization of nature and objects, the article shows how this process enables the redefinition of normative standards and the formation of an ecological epistemology rooted in non-hierarchical perspectives as critical for achieving tangible and meaningful change. On the other end of the artistic spectrum, presented in the second part, two cases of artivist and participative practices are revealed as examples of implementing change through intersubjective experience within artistic frameworks. The recent shift in community artistic practice towards enabling subjects’ participation and reacting to societal demands includes geographical peripheries and marginalized groups. A new aesthetics of interconnectedness may show that reality is not our mirror image, but rather a gradual embracing of the manifold entanglements that need to be addressed through artistic eco-imaginaries and posthumanist inclusivity.
