1. Anarchism and the history of social movements in SloveniaDaša Tepina, 2021, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The article is a compilation of fragments of revolutionary movements in the Slovenian region,
which in one way or another were connected to or derived from the tradition of anarchist ideas and
practises. It is an overview of an omnipresent phenomenon that
never had or has never had a broader
social visibility, but was always present in the shadows and on the margins, continuously shaping
social movements and communities in revolt and offering refuge to many marginalised and oppressed
people, thus amplifying
their voice, which gradually changed the general social conditions. A modest
overview, supplemented by archival sources from the Slovenian archives and newspaper articles from
different periods. It covers a wide area of the fragmented 20th century, touchi
ng at the end on the
transition to the 21st century. So even it is difficult to argue that there is a history of the anarchist
movement in this region, that can be described as a rooted, consistent anarchist history, and it takes a
certain spirit of enquir
y to discover and bring to the surface anarchist ideas and practises, we,
however, can talk about fragments of historical events and groups that were connected and
intertwined with anarchist ideas in various practices connected with anarchist principles. A
nd all of
them were inherent for an organized anarchist movement, which was established in the last three
decades that we can speak today of an overtly coherent set of ideas and practises. 2. Biodiversity communication through art in the form of digital games and the communication potential of related online communities : diploma thesisTijana Mijušković, 2023, diplomsko delo Opis: Biodiversity communication is becoming increasingly important in today’s age, as climate change and other factors contribute to the rapid decline of species and ecosystems across the globe. Art is growing in popularity as a tool of reaching people regarding environmental causes, as they convey the emotional, human side of this endeavor in a way that typical science communication isn’t able to. Digital games, arguably among the most persuasive art forms and now widely accessible, are well suited to educating as well as emotionally influencing their players. Online communities frequently form around games, providing a platform for discussion and potentially increasing the games’ total potential for biodiversity communication. In this thesis, the content of eight games from Steam’s list of top-rated games tagged with ‘Nature’ was analyzed, and seven online communities related to these games on the Discord and Reddit social media platforms were surveyed. There was found to be a number of different approaches among the eight games towards educating players about biodiversity and/or its conservation, and the survey of communities showed care towards and interest in biodiversity-related discussion and conservation gaming itself, as well as the fact that games and related discussion in online communities has potential to educate players and positively influence their interest in biodiversity topics. Online game-related communities may offer an additional avenue of approaching game players about biodiversity for science communicators, researchers, and game developers alike. 5. Italian Humanist Photography from Fascism to the Cold WarMartina Caruso, znanstvena monografija Opis: Spanning four decades of radical political and social change in Italy, this interdisciplinary study explores photography’s relationship with Italian painting, film, literature, anthropological research and international photography. Evocative and powerful, Italian social documentary photography from the 1930s to the 1960s is a rich source of cultural history, reflecting a time of dramatic change. This book shows, through a wide range of images (some published for the first time) that to fully understand the photography of this period we must take a more expansive view than scholars have applied to date, considering issues of propaganda, aesthetics, religion, national identity and international influences. By setting Italian photography against a backdrop of social documentary and giving it a distinctive place in the global history of photography, this exciting volume of original research is of interest to art historians and scholars of Italian and visual culture studies. 6. Semihypergroup-Based Graph for Modeling International Spread of COVID-n in Social SystemsNarjes Firouzkouhi, Reza Ameri, Abbas Amini, Hashem Bordbar, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Graph theoretic techniques have been widely applied to model many types of links in social systems. Also, algebraic hypercompositional structure theory has demonstrated its systematic
application in some problems. Influenced by these mathematical notions, a novel semihypergroup based graph (SBG) of G = hH, Ei is constructed through the fundamental relation gn on H, where semihypergroup H is appointed as the set of vertices and E is addressed as the set of edges on SBG. Indeed, two arbitrary vertices x and y are adjacent if xgny. The connectivity of graph G is characterized by xg y, whereby the connected components SBG of G would be exactly the elements of the fundamental group H/g . Based on SBG, some fundamental characteristics of the graph such as complete, regular, Eulerian, isomorphism, and Cartesian products are discussed along with illustrative examples to clarify the relevance between semihypergroup H and its corresponding graph. Furthermore, the notions of geometric space, block, polygonal, and connected components are introduced in terms of the developed SBG. To formulate the links among individuals/countries in
the wake of the COVID (coronavirus disease) pandemic, a theoretical SBG methodology is presented to analyze and simplify such social systems. Finally, the developed SBG is used to model the trend diffusion of the viral disease COVID-n in social systems (i.e., countries and individuals). 7. Progressive pedagogies for innovation among art, science and technology : the case of mastmodule.euPeter Purg, N. Castillo-Rutz, Sergi Bermúdez i Badia, C. Csíkszentmihályi, Jurij V. Krpan, F. Hedeer, D. L. Sousa, Klemen Širok, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Even if aiming at technical innovation, an interdisciplinary curriculum can and should include social
values. The Master Module in Art, Science and Technology project attempted to do so by developing
the innovation catalyst profile, a graduate who critically reflects on the creation process by combining
art thinking and design thinking. Within a pilot of the MAST module students from three universities
responded to timely challenges such as ‘The Future of Work’ and ‘Solidarity,’ through which the project
staff tested progressive pedagogical solutions like cross-disciplinary mentoring and situated knowledge
sharing. Introducing European social values in both artistic and technical education, the article presents
models, experiments and inspirations discussed against discursive analysis and course evaluation data.
In order to support not only inclusive but also sustainable teaching and learning approaches, novel
methods and tools may become daringly innovative as well as critical of both their pedagogical and
the wider social setting. Ključne besede: art thinking, curriculum design, social values, innovation catalyst, design thinking Objavljeno v RUNG: 27.06.2022; Ogledov: 1612; Prenosov: 29 Povezava na celotno besedilo Gradivo ima več datotek! Več... |
8. Impact of Social Media on E-Participation of Citizens towards E-Governance Services in Developing Nations like IndiaRajan Gupta, Saibal K. Pal, 2019, objavljeni povzetek znanstvenega prispevka na konferenci Opis: The governments from all around the world are using social media as a platform to engage with the citizens to inform and encourage about the usage of various government services and E-Government portals, as it is fast and cost effective mode reaching to a wide segment of citizens. India, a developing country has also witnessed a rapid rise in social media users over the past few years and therefore the current research study assesses the usage of social media by government departments and their impact on the performance of E-Governance in the country. For this purpose, this study has conducted an exploratory data analysis to assess the impact of various government departments’ number of followers on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter on number of electronic transactions, using the statistical techniques of trend lines, regression and correlation. It was found that social media and E-transactions are positively correlated to each other up to a moderate extent, and the former significantly affects the latter. The study also suggests the government to use social media as a medium to promote government services and recommends future research works to conduct an extensive study by including other parameters such as the level of interaction between government and citizens on social platform to better understand the concept. This study will be useful for government departments, social media management companies, and various other stakeholders in E-Governance. 9. Effective inclusion of citizens through e-governance services : case study of direct benefit transfer in IndiaRajan Gupta, Saibal K. Pal, 2020, objavljeni znanstveni prispevek na konferenci Opis: Traditional Government of any country does not include citizens as a part of the system leading to low trust levels. To eradicate this practice, E-Governance has been introduced which helps in efficient and transparent functioning of the government. The transformation from traditional governance to E-Governance is important and has been studied in the paper through the Case of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in India. Before the implementation of DBT, India was suffering from malpractices like delay in funds transfer, pilferage practices in government departments, act of corruption by government officials, fake identity of users claiming the amount, and mental/physical harassment to the citizens, for the various types of funds transfer and social welfare schemes. But after effective roll out of DBT, there was a reduction of approximately USD 20 Billion reported on fake accounts in seven years cumulatively across multiple schemes in India. This has led to a good economic growth of the country and has also improved the trust level of citizens on the government of India. It has also led to increase in enrolment of girl child in schools or higher education, reduction of grievances of pensioners, and reduction of false claims. Other nations can learn from this case of effective inclusion of citizens.
