Arthropod biodiversity associated to European sheep grazed pastures

Opis: We analysed the biodiversity of foliage arthropods in nine sheep grazed pasturelands in five European countries. During the maximum flowering period in 2018, entomofauna was collected in 4-6 areas within each pasture, performing 6 transects/area and 25 sweeps per transect. Multivariate analyses tested the differences in total arthropod community composition among degrees of intensification, bioregions and types of pastures. A total of 51,474 arthropods from 3 classes, 17 orders and 95 taxonomical groups were recorded. Univariate analyses revealed that total arthropod abundance was higher in extensive than in intensive systems (P<0.01). It also differed between bioregions (higher in Alpine than in Continental, P<0.05) and between types of pastures (higher in mountain than in lowland pastures where animals are supplemented, P<0.05). Total taxa richness was not influenced by any of the three factors. However, multivariate analyses indicated that community composition differed among intensive and extensive systems, bioregions and types of pastures (P<0.001). The greatest differences occurred between Alpine and Mediterranean (P<0.001), and Mediterranean and Continental pastures (P<0.05), as well as between lowland seminatural and improved pastures (P<0.05), and seminatural and mountain pastures (P<0.001). These results reveal the complex and varied communities associated to the diverse sheep systems and valorise the role of the more extensive, mountain and natural pastures for the conservation of biodiversity in sheep grazed areas.

Interface phenomena between CdTe and ZnTe: Cu back contact

Opis: Thin film technology has reached a maturity to achieve conversion efficiencies of the order of 22%. Among thin films, CdTe-based photovoltaic modules represent 80% of the total production. Nonetheless, some issues concerning back-contact are still open. In industrial process a chemical etching is required in order to make the CdTe film surface rich in Te. The Te-excess is fundamental in order to form a stable telluride compound with copper and to obtain an ohmic, low-resistance back-contact. Moreover, the Te-excess hinders the fast diffusion of copper in CdTe and its achievement of the junction region, preventing the destruction of the device. In this paper we study a ZnTe:Cu buffer layer deposited onto a CdTe film, characterized by a naturally Te-rich surface obtained with a particular chlorine heat treatment without any chemical etching. Ukrepi za zmanjšanje voznega parka podjetja Komunala Nova Gorica z oceno znižanja stroškov in drugih izboljšav

Opis: Magistrsko delo obravnava možnosti za zmanjševanje voznega parka podjetja Komunala Nova Gorica d.d. in ima dva cilja. Primarni cilj je zniževanje stroškov odvoza odpadkov, posredni cilj pa je povečevanje deleža ločeno zbranih odpadkov, saj je delež ločeno zbranih odpadkov glede na prihajajoče uredbe prenizek. Med ukrepi, s katerimi želimo doseči navedena cilja, najprej obravnavamo spremembo kontejnerskih mest v ekološke otoke in navodila za pravilno izvajanje del v enoti za zbiranje in odvoz odpadkov. V osrednjem delu pa se posvetimo izboljševanju transportnih poti, ki jih ob primerni izvedbi omogoča uporaba navigacijskih naprav. Na podlagi analiz stanja pred ukrepi in po njih so ovrednoteni učinki obravnavanih ukrepov. Rezultat je zmanjšanje števila potrebnih smetarskih vozil za odvoz mešanih odpadkov v podjetju Komunala Nova Gorica d.d. in povečan delež ločeno zbranih odpadkov v občinah, v katerih deluje to podjetje.
