4. Dark Matter search with the Fermi Large Area TelescopeGabrijela Zaharijas, vabljeno predavanje na konferenci brez natisa Opis: High energy gamma-rays are one of the most promising tools to constrain or reveal the nature of dark matter. During the almost eight years of the Fermi satellite mission, the data from its Large Area Telescope (LAT) were used to set constraints on the dark matter cross section to various particle channels which now cut well into the theoretically motivated region of the parameter space. In this talk I will describe methods used to search for evidence of dark matter with the LAT, and review the status of the searches. Special attention will be given to the latest indications of the origin of the unaccounted gamma-ray excess at few GeV in the Fermi-LAT data in the region around the Galactic Center, which steered lots of attention as it was shown to be consistent with putative signals of WIMP dark matter particles. Finally I will discuss projections of the expected sensitivities with continued LAT data taking. 5. Multi-messenger study of the Fermi BubblesLili Yang, predavanje na tuji univerzi Opis: The Fermi Bubbles have been imaged in sub-TeV gamma rays at Fermi-LAT, and, if their origin is hadronic, they might have been seen with low statistics in ∼0.1−1 PeV neutrinos at IceCube. I discuss the detectability of these objects at the new High Altitude Water Cherenkov (HAWC). HAWC will view the North Bubble for ∼2−3 hours a day, and will map its spectrum at 0.1-100 TeV. For the hard primary proton spectrum required to explain five events at IceCube, a high significance detection at HAWC will be achieved in less than 30 days. I will discuss how the combination of results at HAWC and IceCube will substantiate the hadronic model, or constrain its spectral parameters and how sensitive Cherenkov Telescope Array(CTA) is to the bubbles. Many of these probes provide excellent tests of particle physics models of dark matter particles. In particular, experiments such as Fermi -LAT, AMS-02, Ice Cube, ... are significantly cutting into the parameter space of one of the most popular candidates, the WIMPs. In this talk I will describe some of the strategies and methods used to search for dark matter with astrophysical data. Special attention will be given to the latest indications of an unaccounted gamma-ray excess at few GeV in the Fermi-LAT data in the region around the Galactic Centre, which steered lots of attention as it was shown to be consistent with putative signals of WIMP dark matter particles and complementary constraints provided by other experiments.
