1. Outreach, education, and communication initiatives at the Pierre Auger ObservatoryV. Scherini, Andrej Filipčič, Jon Paul Lundquist, Shima Ujjani Shivashankara, Samo Stanič, Serguei Vorobiov, Danilo Zavrtanik, Marko Zavrtanik, 2024, objavljeni znanstveni prispevek na konferenci Opis: The Pierre Auger Collaboration has a long tradition of outreach that engages a wide range of people of all ages worldwide. In Malargüe, Argentina, the heart of the Pierre Auger Observatory, the Visitor Center offers a permanent interactive exhibition. Every November Collaboration meeting, we organize a Science Fair where Argentinian students from across the country can present their works and talk with the scientists at the site, motivating youngsters to pursue a career in Science. We also participate in the local parade, commemorating the foundation of Malargüe. We have developed numerous activities and interactive tools, including a 3-D event display. We have an open data policy and share them according to FAIR principles. Recently, we joined the International Masterclasses within the International Particle Physics Outreach Group, using a framework similar to the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations. In this contribution, we summarize all of our Outreach activities.

Laser-induced thermal lens study of the role of morphology and hydroxyl group in the evolution of thermal diffusivity of copper oxideRiya Sebastian, Mohanachandran Nair Sindhu Swapna, Vimal Raj, Sankaranarayana Iyer Sankararaman, 2022, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: The paper explores the evolution of thermal behavior of the material by studying the variations in thermal diffusivity
using the single beam thermal lens (TL) technique. For this purpose, the decomposition of Cu(OH)2 into CuO is studied in a
time range up to 120 h, by subjecting the sample to morphological, structural, and spectroscopic characterizations. The time
evolution of thermal diffusivity can be divided into three regions for demonstrating the dynamics of the reaction. When the
reaction is complete, the thermal diffusivity is also found to be saturated. In addition to the morphological modifications,
from rods to flakes, the variations in the amount of hydroxyl group are attributed to be responsible for the enhancement
of base fluid’s thermal diffusivity by 165%. Thus the study unveils the role of hydroxyl groups in the thermal behavior of
CuO.

Insichreflektiertsein : self – reflection through philosophy and artJosipa Škrapić, 2019, diplomsko delo Opis: Self – reflection is treated through philosophical works which were interpreted and reinterpreted for the concept of the installation. Different approaches to it, separating and explaining emotions, feeling them and comprehension of feeling emotions. The approach to consciousness and reflection within is continued in the representation of some artist's works and importance of arts for human cognitive growth in general. Both segments, philosophical and artistic one come together in the part where we are led to the presentation of the installation Insichreflektiertsein, a name coming from Hegel meaning self-reflected within.
