“Iz cveta si me izpreménil v plod”: Alojz Gradnik in the Footsteps of Tagore RabindranathAna Toroš, 2016, izvirni znanstveni članek
Opis: This article deals with the link between Rabindranath Tagore and
Alojz Gradnik, the first translator of Tagore’s works into Slovene. After the
introduction, wherein the political and cultural context in which Gradnik
became acquainted with Tagore’s works is presented, a chronological
overview of Gradnik’s translations of Tagore’s works follows. The main
part is dedicated to highlighting the many commonalities in Tagore and
Gradnik’s poetry, which also serves to uncover Tagore’s influence on
Gradnik’s literary production.
