Arthropod biodiversity associated to European sheep grazed pastures
Rocio Rosa García, Tanja Peric, 2019, objavljeni povzetek znanstvenega prispevka na konferenci

Opis: We analysed the biodiversity of foliage arthropods in nine sheep grazed pasturelands in five European countries. During the maximum flowering period in 2018, entomofauna was collected in 4-6 areas within each pasture, performing 6 transects/area and 25 sweeps per transect. Multivariate analyses tested the differences in total arthropod community composition among degrees of intensification, bioregions and types of pastures. A total of 51,474 arthropods from 3 classes, 17 orders and 95 taxonomical groups were recorded. Univariate analyses revealed that total arthropod abundance was higher in extensive than in intensive systems (P<0.01). It also differed between bioregions (higher in Alpine than in Continental, P<0.05) and between types of pastures (higher in mountain than in lowland pastures where animals are supplemented, P<0.05). Total taxa richness was not influenced by any of the three factors. However, multivariate analyses indicated that community composition differed among intensive and extensive systems, bioregions and types of pastures (P<0.001). The greatest differences occurred between Alpine and Mediterranean (P<0.001), and Mediterranean and Continental pastures (P<0.05), as well as between lowland seminatural and improved pastures (P<0.05), and seminatural and mountain pastures (P<0.001). These results reveal the complex and varied communities associated to the diverse sheep systems and valorise the role of the more extensive, mountain and natural pastures for the conservation of biodiversity in sheep grazed areas.

Factors influencing collected quantities of municipal solid waste
Slavica Schuster, 2019, doktorska disertacija

Opis: The first part of the survey, using the survey (enclosed with the annexes), tried in various ways to identify samples and facts by which we could predict the amount of waste collected according to some social and economic indicators of all municipalities of the Republic of Slovenia. Data were collected through surveys to determine the way we work and think about the collection of waste and landfills. For my research I have selected the Republic of Slovenia and its 212 municipalities. It is precisely Slovenia that in many respects represents a bright spot in waste management and management. In the second part of the research we used statistical methods to find the factors that influence the increase of waste. From the results we have proved our hypotheses and one of the most important is how the average age of people influences the increase of waste. We did the research over a period of 6 years (2012-2017). Where, by comparison, we find that they do not change significantly in structure by age, but of course socio-economic indicators such as average age change. In the last section, we compared the growth of waste collected with GDP growth. We show that with the growth of GDP, the amount of waste collected also increases. The research is also based on the Republic of Slovenia and beyond. In the second part of the last survey we also included data for EU Member States (28 of them).

Urban Conservation System in China and Its Improvement by Using Historic Urban Landscape Approach
Chen Shujie, 2018, doktorska disertacija

Opis: In the last few decades, the Modern Conservation Movement has developed from European-limited practices into a global movement with universal common views and practical measures for managing heritage resources in different cultural contexts. As an innovative idea of this movement, the Historic Urban Landscape approach aims to protect and manage historic urban environments with respect to both the fundamental principles in the international doctrines and the local social/cultural/historical contexts. It recommends local authorities to use the HUL toolkit to identify, conserve and manage the overall landscape of their historic cities. In the case of China, who is an old civilization, a modern nation and a socialist country at the same time, the conservation practice needs to follow the basic and common conservation principles in the international doctrines, and meanwhile, it shall make its initiatives based on the actual social, cultural and political situations. The establishment of Historically and Culturally Famous City (HCF City in short) system is a positive attempt for such a purpose. The system manages various urban elements relating to the city’s historical and cultural features under a comprehensive notion of HCF City. However, the system is not prefect because it depends excessively on the top-down management of local governments, and also because it overlooks the spatial and spiritual relationships among the protected elements... The thesis provides a big picture of architectural and urban conservation practices in China. It introduces the forming process and the characteristics of historic urban fabric, as well as the history of urban conservation. Then, it takes a deep look at the existing HCF City system, including its basic ideas, structures and mechanism. It analyses the system’s initiatives and deficiencies. Finally, it provides feasible advices to improve the current system by using the HUL toolkit.

Vpeljevanje sprememb v procese izbranega podjetja z analizo in predlogi izboljšav
Monika Krznar, 2017, diplomsko delo

V prvem delu diplomskega dela smo predstavili teoretične vidike organizacije, organizacijske strukture in povezav znotraj organizacije. Uvedba sprememb in izboljšav v podjetjih ni smiselna brez predhodnega razumevanja organizacije.

Dejavniki kakovosti storitev v poročni agenciji : Magistrsko delo

RE-CONCEPTUALIZATION OF THE CONSERVATION THEORY FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL HERITAGE
Usman Ali, 2017, doktorska disertacija

Opis: ver the last few decades, the concept of “authenticity” has commonly been used as a criterion for heritage conservation and management in various regions around the world. In 1994, ICOMOS adopted the Nara document on Authenticity as an international recommendation to draw the attention of policy and decision makers on the values of cultural heritage, stressing on interdisciplinary of approaches. Interdisciplinary research of heritage studies includes analysis and evaluation methods to redefine the theories and methodologies of heritage preservation and management in different contexts. But, when dealing with Archaeological Heritage Management, various difficulties emerge in the adoption of prescribed criteria for heritage conservation and management. The aim of this research is to examine and evaluate the compatibility and potential adaptation of these significant criteria from the Heritage International practice (I.e. UNESCO), including the spheres of law and philosophy, in the Management of Archaeological Heritage. Consequently, this dissertation is articulating according to the following concepts: 1. UNESCO already prescribed parameters and criteria of conservation and management of cultural heritage, but their full applicability on Archaeological Heritage Management should be verified; 2. The level of similarities and differences between Cultural and Archaeological Heritage in the conservation and management process should be discussed to highlight potential new research channels; 3. Is the adoption of the concept of Authenticity as a criterion, prescribed in UNESCO Operational Guideline, compatible enough to be applied to the Management of Archaeological Heritage or not? 4. Archaeological practice as a source of information provides various data and parameters. Are these attributions determining the management? This dissertation concludes that thematic divisions of heritage studies foster and formulate various models and concepts (implicitly and explicitly), which determine many substantial criteria and integrated factors for the sustainability of archaeological heritage. These criteria and factors give 7 importance to the common theoretical and methodological research in archaeological heritage conservation theory and practice.

Digital and social ICT in the interpretation of Cultural Heritage: a new paradigm for valorisation?
Guendalina Ciancimino, 2016, magistrsko delo

Opis: Today it is widely acknowledged by international institutions, national and local administrations, and the civic society at large, that the whole of Cultural Heritage (CH), in its tangible and intangible forms, is part of our individual and collective memory, a marker of cultural identity and at the same time a demonstration of social heterogeneity and complexity. This has led to a progressive recognition of the importance of not only protecting, but also valorising CH, through its promotion and the facilitation of its fruition. Benefiting from CH depends on what and how is done to promote it and also to create a competitive advantage for the ‘cultural economy’ which is based on its reproduction. Tourism is an industry which uses CH and to some extent achieves the objective of its valorisation, widening the market for its fruition and the significance of heritage for different ‘publics’, but only to the extent that it is sustainable in its widest sense. This sets a number of challenges regarding how the heritage is offered, explained, and made accessible to visitors. In this sense, the valorisation of CH is at the core of value generation in tourism, and the use of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) is the channel through which increasingly cultural resources are experienced in competitive and sustainable way. New ICT tools restructure the relationship between image and word, leading to new ways to imagine and interpret CH, and offer great potential for value creation in tourism whereby perception and visual processing are essential elements of communication and experience. Interpretation, which can be informative, inspirational and entertaining, spurs understanding and appreciation, and ultimately engages visitors in CH. Besides, online social networks have a central place in the shaping of experience of the contemporary visitor and offer potential for a smart marketing approach. This Master thesis aims to demonstrate that managing the flows of information through the new technologies may indeed enhance CH valorisation, and that the introduction of digital devices and virtual technologies should follow a visitor-centred approach. It also intends to acknowledge that the application of ICTs can have a significant return in terms of economic income, stimulating and generating a stronger understanding among cultural and public institutions and organizations. The first section of this work reviews the relationship between CH and its social dimension, presenting CH as a lever to enhance social and economic development; it presents ICT and their relation with cultural tourism, illustrating the ongoing transformation of visitors into active actors in the valorisation of CH. The second section presents two case studies of digital devices applied to CH valorisation in different contexts; the impacts of the two projects in relation to heritage itself, its users and the territory are carefully analised. The research represents a starting point for more work encased in contemporary studies on the management of CH, as well as in the developing area of digital interpretation, towards a more general development of a model of sustainable CH tourism.
