They have to access a combination of public transport options like metros, trams, buses and private options like cabs services and hired vehicles. Delhi, being the capital city of India, enjoys the usage of public transport by millions of travelers. Currently all route information on mobile applications (be it public or private) are static in nature which does not recommend any route to follow. This paper proposes such an application where travelling gets easier based on real time route map generation for using public transport like Bus and Metro services. The client-server based 3-tier architecture has been used for the mobile application designing. The application scores high on ease of travelling and customization of the routes through recommendations as compared to static application. 2. Analysing security checkpoints for an integrated utility-based information systemSunil K. Muttoo, Rajan Gupta, Saibal K. These applications can work in the private domain or public domain depending upon the environment and features. Of late, the public infrastructure in India is improving and thus digitisation of the services and processes are making it better for the government to function. Lots of new services and applications are planned through desktop-and mobile-based information systems. But any information system requires a good security cover for it to function correctly and efficiently. One such new system was proposed for integrating the various utility systems in Delhi, NCR, for which various security checkpoints are discussed in this paper. These are related to database security, network security, cryptography, and the user authentication process. These checkpoints will be helpful in making the newly proposed information system more secure and will also be helpful in analysing the need and scope of new security features in it. Security concerns are analysed at different levels of the information system and suggestions are made for the system which can be implemented in the currently proposed system. These suggestions can also be used in other similar systems as well as for improving and enhancing security at various levels. 3. Comparative analysis of epidemiological models for COVID-19 pandemic predictionsRajan Gupta, Gaurav Pandey, Saibal K. This research presents COVID-19 analysis to understand which model works better for different regions. A comparative analysis of three growth curve fitting models (Gompertz, Logistic, and Exponential), two mathematical models (SEIR and IDEA), two forecasting models (Holt’s exponential and ARIMA), and four machine/deep learning models (Neural Network, LSTM Networks, GANs, and Random Forest) using three evaluation criteria on ten prominent regions around the world from North America, South America, Europe, and Asia has been presented. The minimum and median values for RMSE were 1.8 and 5372.9; the values for the mean absolute percentage error were 0.005
and 6.63; and the values for AIC were 87.07 and 613.3, respectively, from a total of 125 experiments across 10 regions. The growth curve fitting models worked well where flattening of the cases has started. Based on region’s growth curve, a relevant model from the list can be used for predicting the number of infected cases for COVID-19. Some other models used in forecasting the number of cases have been added in the future work section, which can help researchers to forecast the number of cases in different regions of the world. With over two billion mobile users currently available all over the world and a significant percentage switching to smart phones, marketers now have new opportunities to target users of such devices. This paper focuses on identifying and designing marketing strategies for different sectors and product/service categories in India using these smart devices and available services. Primary data collection has been carried out by interviewing marketing and store managers and also by collecting responses from users. We identify sectors like banking & financial services, education, health, real estate, airlines, tourism and hospitality and suggest interesting marketing opportunities for the mobile platform. We believe that these initiatives would open up new channels for customer engagement, branding, advertising and product promotion. Major players like DLF, Unitech, Ansals, Omaxe and Parsavnath Developers have shown good turnover in recent times and many others are in the process of establishing themselves in this business. With New Delhi being the national capital of India, this region provides variety of opportunities to people from different parts of the country. Properties ranging from one bedroom residential flats to lavish bungalows and from small shops and offices to large commercial spaces and business centers are all in demand. The major aim of this paper is to discover the determining factors of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), persuading investors to come and investment in India. This paper deals with primary aspects of Make in India campaign and Foreign Direct Investment. In this study, the dependent variable is Foreign Direct Investment and Independent variables are the determinants impacting FDI (market size, GDP, openness of the economy, labor cost and productivity, tax policies, infrastructure, foreign exchange rate, political stability and government regulations). Poor Quality of data can lead to poor analytical modeling, which in turn can lead to poor decision making and predictions, which can finally impact the revenue and working of an organization. This is true for both public and private sector organizations. With rise in E-Governance, lot of nations and their respective public sector units are making use of publicly available datasets. But are these datasets reliable and have good quality. This is the major research question studied in this paper. The study collected publicly available datasets from Open Government Data platforms across 8 different nations around the world. More than 300 datasets having roughly 3.5 million rows were assessed for various data quality measures. The various parameters studied for the data were valid data types, correctness, completeness, statistical features, variability, comparability, duplicacy and the likes. Script was written in R to check the value for various measures. It was found that different countries had advantages on different parameters. Not one country was found to have all the parameters to be of high quality. Different ranges were found for the dataset for various parameters which was helpful in determining the overall quality of the dataset. This will be helpful for various public and private sector organizations in assessing the quality of datasets they intend to work on. Substantial efforts and resources can be saved on Advanced Analytics if the quality of dataset can be determined in advance. The proposed data quality assessment model can be applied on any private or public dataset. Different industry and organizations can set different threshold values for the parameters to benchmark their analytical process. Usage of mobile applications, web applications, cloud computing, and related technologies have helped many public administrators worldwide manage the current pandemic. Contact tracing applications are such mobile app solutions that are used by more than 100 countries today. This study presents a structured research review-based framework related to multiple contact tracing applications. The various components of the framework are related to technological working, design architecture, and feature analysis of the applications, along with the analysis of the acceptance of such applications worldwide. Also, components focusing on the security features and analysis of these applications based on Data Privacy, Security Vetting, and different attacks have been included in the research framework. Many applications are yet to explore the analytical capabilities of the data generated through contact tracing.
