11. Prospects for a survey of the galactic plane with the Cherenkov Telescope ArrayK. Abe, Saptashwa Bhattacharyya, Judit Pérez Romero, Samo Stanič, Veronika Vodeb, Serguei Vorobiov, Gabrijela Zaharijas, Danilo Zavrtanik, Marko Zavrtanik, Miha Živec, 2024, original scientific article Abstract: Approximately one hundred sources of very-high-energy (VHE) gamma rays are known in the Milky Way, detected with a combination of targeted observations and surveys. A survey of the entire Galactic Plane in the energy range from a few tens of GeV to a few hundred TeV has been proposed as a Key Science Project for the upcoming Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO). This article presents the status of the studies towards the Galactic Plane Survey (GPS). We build and make publicly available a sky model that combines data from recent observations of known gamma-ray emitters with state-of-the-art physically-driven models of synthetic populations of the three main classes of established Galactic VHE sources (pulsar wind nebulae, young and interacting supernova remnants, and compact binary systems), as well as of interstellar emission from cosmic-ray interactions in the Milky Way. We also perform an optimisation of the observation strategy (pointing pattern and scheduling) based on recent estimations of the instrument performance. We use the improved sky model and observation strategy to simulate GPS data corresponding to a total observation time of 1620 hours spread over ten years. Data are then analysed using the methods and software tools under development for real data. Under our model assumptions and for the realisation considered, we show that the GPS has the potential to increase the number of known Galactic VHE emitters by almost a factor of five. This corresponds to the detection of more than two hundred pulsar wind nebulae and a few tens of supernova remnants at average integral fluxes one order of magnitude lower than in the existing sample above 1 TeV, therefore opening the possibility to perform unprecedented population studies. The GPS also has the potential to provide new VHE detections of binary systems and pulsars, to confirm the existence of a hypothetical population of gamma-ray pulsars with an additional TeV emission component, and to detect bright sources capable of accelerating particles to PeV energies (PeVatrons). Furthermore, the GPS will constitute a pathfinder for deeper follow-up observations of these source classes. Finally, we show that we can extract from GPS data an estimate of the contribution to diffuse emission from unresolved sources, and that there are good prospects of detecting interstellar emission and statistically distinguishing different scenarios. Thus, a survey of the entire Galactic plane carried out from both hemispheres with CTAO will ensure a transformational advance in our knowledge of Galactic VHE source populations and interstellar emission.

The central part of the article focuses on the literature of Gorizia authors about Gorizia, as literature in a distinctly intercultural context. To this end, some literary works spatially located in the city of Gorizia and written in four different languages - Slovene, Italian, Friulian and German - are examined in more detail, looking for their spatial and ideological overlaps.

Drugi del članka je posvečen povezanosti Iva Andrića z ženskami slovenskega literarnega sistema. Poudarjeno je nekaj ključnih točk, kot so Andrićev prevod Vide Jeraj v srbohrvaščino, njegovo pismo ob smrti Zofke Kveder ter odzivi Mire Mihelič in Zlate Vokač na njegovo delo.

Nickel-decorated ZnO nanoparticles for effective solar reduction of hexavalent chromium and removal of selected pharmaceuticalsMiha Ravbar, Ksenija Maver, Tilen Knaflič, Iztok Arčon, Nataša Novak Tušar, Urška Lavrenčič Štangar, Andraž Šuligoj, 2025, original scientific article Abstract: The efficient visible light driven photocatalytic reduction of hexavalent chromium, Cr(VI) was demonstrated using ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) decorated with oxo-clusters of transition metals. The ZnO NPs were synthesized by a facile one-pot solvothermal synthesis followed by a fast microwave-assisted (MW) grafting of transition metals on the surface of NPs. Nickel was found to be the most active transition metal for photocatalytic activity as demonstrated by reduction of Cr(VI) to Cr(III). The optimally grafted samples contained 0.5 wt% Ni and increased photocatalytic activity by almost one-fold. The oxo-clusters did not enter the lattice of ZnO but rather resided on the surface and their efficient bonding to the ZnO surface was proved by Raman, TEM and X-Ray absorption techniques. Influence of MW power was studied and shown that excessive power load leads to formation of elongated structures of ZnO which decreases the photocatalytic activity. It was demonstrated by measuring fluorescent radical products that electrons, efficiently transferred via oxygen, were the main active species in combination with the unchanged oxidation power of holes and • OH in the grafted samples. The applicability of the materials was tested in immobilized plug flow photoreactor system degrading five pharmaceuticals simultaneously where their long-term use was shown.

Rimsko cesarstvo je bilo v svojem času zelo razvito, zato so rimski voditelji iz dneva v dan želeli več, tako v razvitosti kot tudi pri geografski širitvi. Ker pa je bilo idej veliko, delovne sile, ki bi jih uresničila pa ne, so v Rimu začeli uveljavljati družbenogospodarsko ureditev, ki je danes poznana pod terminom suženjstvo.

Vpliv uporabe različnih hrastovih trsk na aromatične značilnosti vina Rebula : diplomski seminarUroš Kurent, Lorena Butinar, 2024, research project (high school) Abstract: V grozdju sorte 'Rebula' (Vitis vinifera L.) nekateri vinarji odkrivajo vedno večji potencial, vendar so poleg osnovne surovine (grozdja) za končno kakovost pomembni tudi primerno izbrani in izpeljani postopki vinifikacije ter zorenja vina. Z različnimi tehnološkimi pristopi pred in med alkoholno fermentacijo lahko bistveno vplivamo na končno aromatično kakovost vina. Na aromatični potencial vina pa lahko vplivamo tudi z odločitvami po alkoholni fermentaciji in v času zorenja vina, tudi z zorenjem vina v hrastovih sodih ali ob uporabi t.i. hrastovih nadomestkov. V diplomskem delu smo pridelali eksperimentalna vina rebula po štirih različnih vinifikacijskih postopkih ter jim nato dodali trske bodisi ameriškega ali francoskega hrasta, z različnimi stopnjami žganja lesa. Tako pridelana mlada vina smo senzorično ovrednotili in zaznali določene razlike v percepciji vin glede na različne dodatke hrastovih trsk. Vina pridelana z dodatkom hrastovih trsk so degustatorji senzorično ocenili bolje kot kontrolna vina. Iz tega lahko sklepamo, da je dodatek hrastovih trsk izboljšal celokupni vtis vina. Bistvenih razlik med vini glede na poreklo hrastovih trsk (ameriški srednje žgan in francoski srednje žgan) degustatorji niso zaznali.

reportage Normirac u srcu (1949) and the novels Kidanje (1959), Stolice na kiši (1978),
and Otpisani iz ružičaste zone (1998). This paper aims to outline one possible line of interpretation of the author’s oeuvre regarding the broader political and cultural context
of its creation. The author’s narrative focus is women’s experience during the National Liberation Struggle, and her last novel is dedicated to the breakup of Yugoslavia.
Therefore, this work will attempt to view her novels as a literary chronicle of Socialist
Yugoslavia through the female experience of struggle. By analysing her novels, this paper will critically reevaluate the author’s marginal position in the canon of the Serbian
literary system.

20. Cycle fragments : diploma thesisTamara Taskova, 2024, undergraduate thesis Abstract: Installation art is a form of expression that revolves around the viewer’s experience. The thesis deals with the representation of menstruation in art, art installation, and mainstream media. While art installations can deal with menstruation in different ways, from evoking personal emotions to offering escapism, mainstream media tends to represent only one and thus helps to shape collective experiences. This distinction is reflected in how mainstream media often perpetuates the stigmatization of menstruation and maintains the status quo. These observations are presented through the conceptual development of the installation Cycle Fragments. Through the example of my own work, I will explore the ways of thinking while creating an abstract piece in three-dimensional space. This thesis provides insight into the chronological growth of a piece with the purpose of most honestly and successfully explaining to the public how very different and unique experience, menstruation can be.
