A method to compute the number of regular reversible Rosenberg hypergroup
Irina Elena Cristea, Morteza Jafarpour, Ali Tavakoli, 2016, original scientific article

Abstract: The purpose of this note is the study of the hypergroups associated with binary relations. New types of matrices, called i-very good and regular reversible matrices, are introduced in order to give some properties of the Rosenberg hypergroups related to them. A program written in $MATLAB$ computes the number of these hypergroups up to isomorphism.

Interrogative Slifting: More syntactic, less parenthetical
Arthur Stepanov, Penka Stateva, 2016, original scientific article

Abstract: In this article we re-assess the recent analysis of interrogative Slifting (e.g., "Who is a Martian, do you think?") proposed in Haddican et al. (2014). In this analysis, the two component clauses have an indirect syntactic relation to each other, and the semantic and pragmatic relationship between the “slift” question and the main clause is conceived around the notion of evidentiality. We advance an alternative proposal whereby interrogative Slifting can be construed more on a par with wh-scope marking questions attested in languages like German or Hindi. Placing interrogative Slifting alongside wh-scope marking, a more familiar and better-studied construction type, avoids certain empirical difficulties of the original analysis and paves a way toward a uniform treatment of its syntactic, semantic and interface properties.

Problem kvadrature Krsta : Prešernova pesnitev kot izraz kulturne neenakovrednosti
Božič Zoran, 2012, original scientific article

Abstract: The Baptism at the Savica (in Slovene Krst pri Savici), the poem about the loss of the Slovenian independence, can be understood as Prešeren’s successful attempt to trick the censorship and to express, in a form of a historical narrative written as a metaphor, the very contents which had to be removed from his elegy Dem Andenken des Matthias Čop in consequence of the censorship interference. With such an approach quite a few apparent contradictions mentioned in the interpretative history of The Baptism can be solved, , such as the problem of Prešeren’s own labelling of the poem in his letter to Čelakovsky, or the problem of Črtomir’s conversion at the end of the third part of the poem. In the 20th century more interpretations arose, explaining Črtomir’s conversion to Christianity as the unavoidable decision of the Slovene nation for their only prospective solution: the stronger western cultural circle. This way they legitimize Črtomir’s renunciation of the freedom-loving Slovenian identity. This new understanding of the poem perceives two Črtomirs in The Baptism, the hero and the defeated one (the former is the one Prešeren himself would like to be, but it is only his poetic illusion, the latter is the Prešeren true self who the poet completely identifies with) and the final message of the poem as the judgement of the cultural non-equivalence.

Abstract: The study of the evaluation criteria of the leading Slovenian Prešeren experts and their comparison with the experience and evaluation of Prešeren poems by Slovenian secondary school and university students have revealed a significant difference between the literary and receptive approach. While literary historians appreciate very complex reflective poems created during the poet’s most productive period (mostly the ones dealing with existential problems and the sonnets), high school and university students show more appreciation for Prešeren’s linguistically simpler poems, which they can understand better. The latter consider the poems they can experience more intensively, due to their dramatic stories and humour, to have a higher artistic value than others.
