Hitrost vračanja snovi pri relativističnih plimskih raztrganjih zvezd

Abstract: hole - SMBH) s svojo plimsko silo raztrga zvezdo. Trenutno je z opazovanji odkritih ≈ 10 novih dogodkov na leto, a priˇcakujemo, da se bo s pregledom neba LSST na observatoriju Vere Rubin ˇstevilo poveˇcalo na ≈ 1000/leto. Teoretiˇcno TDE modeliramo s programom Phantom v sploˇsno-relativistiˇcnem in Newtonovem opisu gravitacijskega polja SMBH. Zvezde, ki so postavljene na paraboliˇcne orbite z razliˇcnimi parametri β (z razliˇcnimi razdaljami pericentra), ustvarimo s programom za razvoj zvezd MESA in imajo realistiˇcne profile gostote. Preuˇcujemo hitrost vraˇcanja snovi M˙ , koliˇcino, ki je pogosto tesno povezana s svetlobno krivuljo TDE. Posebnost naˇse raziskave je, da obravnavamo raztrganja zvezd z realistiˇcnim opisom profila gostote in izraˇcunamo M˙ v sploˇsno-relativistiˇcnem gravitacijskem polju vrteˇce-se SMBH. Izraˇcunamo odvisnost M˙ od β, mase in starosti zvezd ter rezultate primerjamo s prejˇsnjimi raziskavami. Prav tako karakteriziramo razlike, do katerih pride zaradi razliˇcnega opisa gravitacijskega polja, in vpliv vrtenja SMBH.

The mass fallback rate of the debris in relativistic stellar tidal disruption events

Abstract: Highly energetic stellar tidal disruption events (TDEs) provide a way to study black hole characteristics and their environment. We simulate TDEs in a general relativistic and Newtonian description of a supermassive black hole's gravity. Stars, which are placed on parabolic orbits with different impact parameters, are constructed with the stellar evolution code MESA and therefore have realistic stellar density profiles. We focus our analysis on the mass fallback rate of the debris, which can trace the observed light curve of TDEs. I will present the dependence of the mass fallback rate of the debris on the impact parameter, stellar mass and age as well as the black hole's spin and the choice of the gravity's description.

Barve v filmu

Abstract: V pričujočem diplomskem delu sem predstavil potek celotnega postopka barvne obdelave filma, orodja, ki jih uporabljamo pri tem postopku, ter osnovno znanje, ki ga potrebujemo za barvno obdelavo filma. Poleg tega sem se dotaknil teorije barve ter razumevanja, kako barve delujejo kot pripovedovalno sredstvo na podzavestno (čustveno) raven. Opis procesov je razdeljen na dva dela, in sicer na opis procesa, ki izvaja večina študentov, ter opis procesa, ki sem ga sam uporabljal zaradi posebnih ciljev, ki sem si jih zadal za svoj praktični del diplomske naloge. V zadnjem delu diplomske naloge sem opisal cilje svojega praktičnega dela, filma z naslovom Preden odideš, kako sem jih dosegel ter težave, na katere sem naletel med montažo filma.

Space-time ripples

Abstract: Recent first direct detection of gravitational waves opened a new window on the universe. Gravitational waves arise from small perturbations of space-time and from their characteristics it is possible to determine properties of astrophysical objects from which they originate. In this seminar Einstein equation is introduced to describe gravitational waves and ascertain their properties. Furthermore, possible astrophysical sources are presented, as well as the first directly and indirectly detected event.
