Abstract:Offering language advice, mostly in the form of newspaper columns, has a long tradition in Slovenia. The Internet has made such Q-&-A language consulting and the dissemination of such advice much easier; anything posted on the Internet becomes available to virtually anyone. It is thus no surprise that inrecent years several online language consultancies have been set up. This paper contrasts some of these consultancies, discusses the strengths and weaknesses of particular types, and notes some implications for Slovene language planning.
