Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava jezikovne zadrege jezikovnih uporabnikov, ki opravljajo različne poklice. V povezavi s to problematiko so izpostavljeni terminološki slovarji. V empiričnem delu predstavimo raziskovalni problem, ki odpira vprašanje, kako poklicna specializacija vpliva na jezikovne zadrege jezikovnih uporabnikov in kakšne jezikovne zadrege uporabniki imajo. V nadaljevanju opišemo cilje, hipoteze in metodologijo raziskave.

Title:Language problems of actors, librarians, journalists, lawyers, teachers, doctors
Abstract:The diploma thesis deals with the language problems of language users who perform different professions. These are the six professions from the group "Professionals" listed in the Standard Classification of Occupation (SKP), namely (1) actor/actress, (2) librarian, (3) journalist, (4) lawyer, (5) teacher, (6) doctor. In the theoretical part, we outline the concept of language problem and present language counselling services, where people address language-related questions. In recent years, the activity has largely been present on the Internet (cf. Language Counselling Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language, Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts). We present the purpose of language counselling, the reasons for asking questions and describe the problem of professional specialization of users, which can affect the type of language problems. In connection with this issue, the use of terminological dictionaries is also discussed. The theoretical part is followed by the empirical part, in which we present the research problem that raises the question of how professional specialization affects the language problems of language users and what language problems the users have. The description of objectives, hypotheses and the research methodology follows. A list of language problems was composed through guided conversations with language users who perform the listed professions. The diploma thesis analyses the results of the research: professional specialization affects the set of language problems, the set consists of problems on different levels of language, many of the detected problems have not yet been answered by the existing linguistic counselling services, the set is also affected by the predominant way of communicating in the profession.
Keywords:language problems, language users, professions, written and oral communication, linguistic counselling service.
