Air-water interface-assisted synthesis and charge transport characterization of quasi-2d polyacetylene films with enhanced electron mobility via ring-opening polymerization of pyrrole
Kejun Liu, Nadiia Pastukhova, Egon Pavlica, Gvido Bratina, Xinliang Feng, 2024, other component parts

Abstract: Water surfaces catalyze some organic reactions more effectively, making them unique for 2D organic material synthesis. This report introduces a new synthesis method via surfactant-monolayer-assisted interfacial synthesis on water surfaces for ring-opening polymerization of pyrrole, producing distinct polypyrrole derivatives with polyacetylene backbones and ionic substitutions. The synthesis result in quasi 2D polyacetylene (q2DPA) film with enhanced charge transport behavior. We employed time-of-flight photoconductivity (TOFP) measurements using pulsed laser light of tunable wavelength for photoexcitation of the charge carriers within the q2DPA film. The charge transport was measured in the lateral direction as a function of external bias voltage ranging from 0 V to 200 V. We observed high electron mobility ({\mu}) of q2DPA reaching values of 375 cm2 V-1 s-1 at bias voltage Vb = -20V and photon energy of 3.8 eV.

Electronic properties of phases in the quasi-binary Bi[sub]2Se[sub]3-Bi[sub]2S[sub]3 system
Zipporah Rini Benher, Sandra Gardonio, Mattia Fanetti, Paolo Moras, Asish K. Kundu, Chiara Bigi, Matjaž Valant, 2021, original scientific article

Abstract: We explored the properties of the quasi-binary Bi2Se3–Bi2S3 system over a wide compositional range. X-ray diffraction analysis demonstrates that rhombohedral crystals can be synthesized within the solid solution interval 0–22 mol% Bi2S3, while at 33 mol% Bi2S3 only orthorhombic crystals are obtained. Core level photoemission spectroscopy reveals the presence of Bi3+, Se2− and S2− species and the absence of metallic species, thus indicating that S incorporation into Bi2Se3 proceeds prevalently through the substitution of Se with S. Spin- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy shows that topological surface states develop on the surfaces of the Bi2Se3−ySy (y ≤0.66) rhombohedral crystals, in close analogy with the prototypical case of Bi2Se3, while the orthorhombic crystals with higher S content turn out to be trivial semiconductors. Our results connect unambiguously the phase diagram and electronic properties of the Bi2Se3–Bi2S3 system.

Primeness of Relative Annihilators in BCK-Algebra
Hashem Bordbar, 2020, original scientific article

Abstract: Conditions that are necessary for the relative annihilator in lower BCK-semilattices to be a prime ideal are discussed. Given the minimal prime decomposition of an ideal A, a condition for any prime ideal to be one of the minimal prime factors of A is provided. Homomorphic image and pre-image of the minimal prime decomposition of an ideal are considered. Using a semi-prime closure operation “cl”, we show that every minimal prime factor of a cl-closed ideal A is also cl-closed.

WEAK CLOSURE OPERATIONS WITH SPECIAL TYPES IN LOWER BCK-SEMILATTICES
Hashem Bordbar, Young Bae Jun, 2017, original scientific article

Abstract: The notions of (strong) quasi prime mapping on the set of all ideals, t- type weak closure operation, and tender (resp., naive, sheer, feeble tender) weak closure operation are introduced, and their relations and properties are investigated. Conditions for a weak closure operation to be of t-type are provided. Given a weak closure operation, conditions for the new weak closure operation to be of t-type and to be a naive (sheer, feeble tender) weak closure operation are considered. We show that the new weak closure operation is the smallest tender weak closure operation containing the given weak closure operation.

Semi-prime and meet weak closure operations in lower BCK-semilattices
Hashem Bordbar, Mohammad Mehdi Zahedi, 2017, original scientific article

Abstract: The notion of semi-prime (resp., meet) weak closure operation is introduced and related properties are investigated. Characterizations of a semi-prime (resp. meet) closure operation are discussed. Examples show that the notion of semi-prime weak closure operation is independent of the notion of meeting weak closure operation.
Keywords: non-zeromeet element, meet ideal, relative annihilator, semi-prime (resp., meet) weak closure operation.

Quotient Structures of BCK/BCI-Algebras Induced by Quasi-Valuation Maps
Hashem Bordbar, Young Bae Jun, Seok Zun Song, 2018, original scientific article

Abstract: Relations between I-quasi-valuation maps and ideals in BCK/BCI -algebras are investigated. Using the notion of an I-quasi-valuation map of a BCK/BCI-algebra, the quasi-metric space is induced, and several properties are investigated. Relations between the I-quasi-valuation map and the I-valuation map are considered, and conditions for an I-quasi-valuation map to be an I-valuation map are provided. A congruence relation is introduced by using the I-valuation map, and then the quotient structures are established and related properties are investigated. Isomorphic quotient BCK/BCI-algebras are discussed.
