Abstract:Film Ceste je pojav s širokimi družbenimi in kulturnimi posledicami.

Title:Film ceste : popotovanje k uporu in samospoznavanju
Abstract:The Road Movie is a phenomenon with wide social and cultural implications. This thesis is analyzing the characteristics of the genre, taking into account some of the most important movies that have been essential for its development. In the post-war era, when the society was changing, when optimism re-emerged and the standard of living rose to the point that also the middle class could afford to travel without particular reason, the road movie genre became a massive American phenomenon. Linked to the vastness of the country and cultural changes in it, it soon expanded across the world and it became a genre with its own rules and history, but also the messenger of the generation of the 1960s. Today road movies are still touching the subject of self-discovery and revelation; it is often not just a physical but also a metaphorical journey into oneself, and most often a political statement. One can find more about it in the analysis of some movies that are taken into account, that may be considered Road Movie's must watch, with examples of their contribution to the genre. This thesis finally consideres the theory and practice behind the the making of "Imperceptible" Diploma Film; in the last chapters it goes through all the creative process behind realizing a student film. 8
