Title:Reading as a Creation: : Reading Motivation with G. Rodari and M. Sarto
Abstract:Reading is seen as a receptive and passive act, but at the same time there is a growing number of researchers who emphasize its complexity (Pečjak), individuality (radical constructivism), and creative aspects (Armstrong). The author of the paper compares Rodari's ideas from the book Grammatica della fantasia (in Slovenian Srečanje z domišljijo, 1996) with reading motivation strategies designed by M. M. Sarto and her colleagues. Sarto's strategies were published in Slovenian in the book Reading Promotion with Experience of Slovenian Mentors of Reading (2015). The author highlights the implementation of various reading promotion strategies among which the elements of play and creativity stand out.
