Title:
Electronic States in a Cylindrical Quantum Dot Having Weakly Prolate (Oblate) Elliptical Cross-Section with Kane’s Dispersion Law Under Applied Magnetic Field
Abstract:
In the framework of the perturbation theory the electronic states in the cylindrical Quantum Dot (QD) with weakly oblate elliptical cross-section placed in magnetic field are discussed. Cases of both standard parabolic and Kane’s dispersion law are considered. Analytical expressions for the wave functions and energy spectrum of the electron in the cylindrical QD are treated. Unusual dependence of the energy correction conditioned by ellipticity on the cylindrical QD height is revealed.
